After a visit to the monastery, we follow the stone-paved main street out of town to a bridge over the Langtang Khola. Crossing this bridge we reach a junction from where we continue straight and cross a log bridge for a pleasant walk through trees, sidestream, and landslide to reach another suspension bridge and waterfall of Doman. Crossing through few settlements and forests with a variety of wildlife such as yellow throated martens, wild boars, langur monkeys, red pandas, Himalayan black bears and birds, we climb a rocky ridge and descend to the river bridges and waterfalls with a small hot spring across the river. Now a long climb in forests takes us to another trail junction, beyond which the trail gently climbs to Bamboo. Beyond bamboo, the trail crosses the Dangdung Khola and then climbs past a small landslide to a small suspension bridge over the Langtang Khola. From the northern bank of the Langtang Khola, the route climbs alongside a series of waterfalls formed by a jumble of house-sized boulders. Crossing the dry forest consisting of scrub oaks, cactuses, and nettles we climb steeply to a landslide in lower Rimche. Passing by another trail junction in upper Renche, we ascend gently to Changtang, popularly known as Lama Hotel Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Climbing through a steep forest of hemlocks, oaks, maples and white and pink rhododendrons high above the Langtang Khola to reach Gumanchok and then we cross a stream and climb steeply to a pass marked with prayer flags to reach Ghora Tabela which is now a Nepal Army and National Park Post. The trail now ascends gradually as the valley opens up into a classic U-shaped glacial valley. We follow the trail across the helipad and yak pastures and climb through rhododendron forests to reach Thangshyap. The route now climbs the hillside diagonally above the fields to reach Ghumba village that has a nice gompa to visit. The trail crosses a stream and climbs past several water-driven mills and prayer wheels to the large settlement of Langtang which is a headquarter for Langtang National Park. Huge twin waterfalls pour out of a cleft in the rock wall above the town and there are views of 6581m Langtang II. In Langtang, we hear and watch for varied species of birds such as hawks, drab-colored cuckoos, fruit-eating barbets, owls, laughing thrushes, red-billed and yellow-billed magpies, parakeet, and many more. Alpine Club of Himalaya is the best corporate travel agent I have ever worked with in Nepal. From a customer experience perspective, their service is superlative. I had done my Gokyo Lake Trek last week, and they are the most responsive agent they made every transaction 100% hassle-free. Highly Recommended ACH.

Mr. Sujan and the Alpine Himalaya team have been excellent to deal with. Sujan is excellent at trip planning and made us an amazing itinerary for the Annapurna circuit and activities in Pokhara like paragliding, bungee, & zip line. He also organised a cake for my birthday🎂. We completed Annapurna circuit with our guide Pemba Sherpa and porter Dawa Sherpa they were amazing. Pemba sherpa was very kind, professional, and took such great care of us. He really took the time to teach us about the culture in the mountains and shared details about the landscape. I really felt privileged to be able to walk the circuit with him. Thank you again Alpine club of Himalaya and the team for the wonderful experience.

Just returned to Seoul after 14day Annapurna sanctuary trek. The trekking was fantastic and Sujan well organized everything for us and we could enjoy the trekking. It was once in a life time experience for me and Sujan arranged experienced sherpa and porter who made our trekking more enjoyable. I am 70 and worried about this challenging trekking and Sujan said to me that “age is only a number” and he helped me to do this trekking. Sujan is a really professional who can make the trekking more enjoyable and safe. I found that his main concern was customers’ safety and satisfaction. I definitely return to Nepal for next trip and thanks Sujan and Pasang our sherpa.

We recently trekked the Manaslu circuit over 11 days with Alpine Club of Himalaya. Pemba and Karma were excellent as guide and porter, respectively. This is the second time we have used Alpine Club of Himalaya and loved our experience again. The first trek was the Annapurna Circuit Trek and included experiencing Dashain during the trek. This recent trek we experienced Tibetan culture. Sujan is an excellent host, responsive, and attends to fine details. He and the team care about your well being and treat you like family. We look forward to using them again on our next trip! 🙏

The trip was amazing, well worth taking. It was very well organised, the company even provided sleeping bags and duffel jackets which came in handy when it snowed at basecamp. Our guide and porter were knowledgeable and friendly, we were in excellent hands with them. If you’re considering a trek that isn’t too long but has excellent views nonetheless, go on this one.
