Accommodation Name: Kirawira Serena Camp

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

West of Seronera, the waters of the Grumeti and Mbalageti rivers ensure that this so-called ‘Western Corridor’ is damper and denser in vegetation than you will find on the more southerly plains of the Serengeti. Imagine a mix of woodland and open grassland. Here, visitors can expect good game-viewing throughout the year, but from late May and throughout June it is usual for the Great Migration to traverse the Western Corridor. Of course, this depends on the timing of the rains, but in any event, there are lion, giraffe, and elephant residents in the region south of the Grumeti. Your driver-guide will help you to spot these, as well as the populations of wildebeest and zebra. At day’s end, your accommodation awaits you. With the sights and sounds still fresh in your consciousness, it’s time to dine and then sleep.

Accommodation: Kirawira Serena Camp
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 4: Western Serengeti To Central Serengeti

Location: Serengeti

Accommodation: Lodge

Accommodation Name: Intimate Camp Seronera

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Drinks

Before leaving the Western Serengeti, we take the opportunity this morning to enjoy another game drive in this incredible location. This allows us further time to wonder at the migratory herds and the dangers and challenges they face each year in their battle for survival. As well as the herd animals, you can perhaps see a hippopotamus – or up in the skies, a majestic martial eagle. As well as the migrating animals, this area also has a good population of resident wildlife, so you won’t be disappointed. In the afternoon, we take the short drive back to the central part of Serengeti, where you will be taken to your chosen accommodation for relaxation and your evening meal.

Day 5 : Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Location: SERENGETI

Accommodation: Lodge

Accommodation Name: Intimate Camp Seronera

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Drinks

Waking up in the Serengeti is something really special. Sights, sounds, and smells of Africa are all around us, and ahead is a full day of adventure in the world’s most famous national park. After breakfast, we start today with the morning section of our game drive in Serengeti National Park, marveling at the stunning scenery, ever-changing light, and always entertaining wildlife, all explained to you by your expert driver-guide.
After our picnic lunch, we set off again, searching for wildlife in this awe-inspiring park. Serengeti’s wonders evolve subtly as the day progresses. The myriad animals and birds are the ‘stars of the show’ and Nature’s dramas can unfold at any time. Of course, the animals don’t work any schedule, so we may find a lion or leopard, elephant, and zebra, cheetah, and antelope at any time on our drives. At the end of the afternoon, we return to the camp for dinner and some much-needed rest.

Note: For those who have booked the Balloon Safari for today, you will be picked up from the camp at 05.00 hours for a 06.00 hours departure. If you wish to book a balloon safari, please let us know in advance, The price is $600 per person. After your 60 – 90 minute (depending on wind condition) aerial adventure, experience bush breakfast, and champagne, thereafter your driver-guide will pick you up for your full-day game drive.

Meal Plan: Breakfast,  Hot Lunch, and Dinner

Day 6: Central Serengeti To Northern Serengeti

Location: Serengeti

Accommodation: Lodge

Accommodation Name: Intimate Camp Zebra

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Drinks

Today on our trip-of-a-lifetime we turn north, driving to the very northern edge of the Serengeti, the world-famous national park, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Northern Serengeti is a land of open woodland, covering the Seronera in its southern part and being bordered by the Mara river in the north: this marks the border with neighboring Kenya. We are now following in the footsteps of the Great Migration, great herds of thousands of zebra and wildebeest getting ready to cross the Mara. For the visitor, this is one of the world’s most awe-inspiring sights as the animals cross the dangerous waters in small or large groups.

This is a chance to see Nature at its very rawest. Animals on the move, animals hunting…or being hunted! Each day is different here, unpredictable and full of surprises, but nothing can surpass the Great Migration, that unique natural wonder which involves a cast of breathtaking numbers, literally hundreds of thousands of animals making their annual journey. As well as the migrating herds, the Northern Serengeti is an area where you might easily see giraffe, elephant, and dik-dik.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Journey time and Distance: 5 hours, 155 km from Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti.

Day 7: Norhern Serengeti National Park

Location: Serengeti

Accommodation: Lodge

Accommodation Name: Intimate Camp Zebra

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Drinks

As you awake for the second day in Northern Serengeti, you can contemplate that parts of this northern area can easily match the Southern Serengeti for the abundance of wildlife viewing, especially between July and October. After your breakfast, you will embark with your driver-guide on a full-day game drive, looking out for elephant and buffalo, eland and gazelle. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to spot something really special: perhaps a cheetah, or even a rare black rhino, of which a small population is resident here. Of course, during these months the Great Migration remains the real focus, with the mighty Mara river proving the obstacle for wildebeest as they seek to cross to and from the Maasai Mara in neighboring Kenya.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Amazing Safari in Tanzania

04-Sep-2019

After much research, my husband, 25 years old daughter, and I chose Alaitol as our agent for our safari. Mary, our email contact at Alaitol worked with us and customized our trip to meet every detail. Throughout the 9 month planning period, she was always prompt in her replies. When we arrived in Arusha, we were met at the shuttle station, as planned and transported to their offices, where were met Mary in person and received additional information about our trip. The next day, we flew to Western Serengeti and our drive/guide, Baraza, met us as scheduled, and off we went. Spending 8 days in a vehicle with anyone can be trying but Baraza hit just the right rhythm with us. He was always helpful, knowledgable about all of the animals, and has amazing eyesight! I would highly recommend requesting Baraza as a guide for Alaitol.

Once in a Lifetime Amazing Safari Experience!!!

30-Aug-2019

I was planning this once in a lifetime trip for my family and I was getting different quotes. What stood out for me from the beginning was the excellent and clear communication I received from the Alaitol Safaris representative Abel. He provided a very personal experience with arranging the trip and was very flexible in meeting our needs. I knew straight away that I wanted to book with Alaitol Safaris. The itinerary was updated with each change so we knew exactly what the plan was going to be even with small details like incoming flight and also outgoing flight, dietary requirements and even allergies etc. So on our way to Tanzania from the UK we missed one of our connecting flights which meant we were arriving later than expected. I messaged Abel (at 10pm in the evening!!) and he immediately replied back and made sure everything will be taken care of and even told us who our guide/driver (Baraza) will be to pick us up at the airport. When we eventually arrived we found out that our luggage had not arrived! Disaster! However, Baraza collected us and phoned Abel immediately and we were reassured that Abel will take care of getting our luggage and take it to wherever we on the Safari. From that moment on I was relaxed and Abel made sure we didn't stress. We went to the hotel (Gran Melia Arusha Hotel) at around 10:30pm and the hotel kept the kitchen open just for us in case we wanted dinner! The staff provided us with toiletries and extras as we had nothing and the shops were closed. The next morning the hotel manager came to meet us at breakfast and even provided us with t-shirts as he found out we had no luggage!! Now on to the safari. Baraza our guide is so knowledgeable and kind and was the perfect person for us. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the trip and it was down to Baraza for this. We managed to see all the animals we had on our list and it was down to Baraza expert knowledge on how and where to find the animals. We learned so much from him and had fun in the process. Also, in the meantime Abel found our luggage and as he said it arrived to us while we were on safari.....disaster averted! I highly recommend Alaitol Safaris if you are planning on going safari! Great work guy's!!

Great safari with awesome tour guide

16-Jul-2020

We spent 8 days in Serengeti. Overall fantastic trip with a great tour guide Karato, who took us to all the best spots allowing us to view Africa’s big 5 and plenty of other animals. We also borrowed his professional camera which produced some awesome photos (see attached). The food was great, and we got to experience different hotels enjoying the outdoors. We had many ad hoc requests along the way (including dietary requirements) which Karato and the Alaitol team were super kind in assisting. Everything was taken care of.

Amazing Safari with Alaitol

21-Aug-2020

This review is late in coming but given the current world situation I wanted to express our sincere gratitude to Alaitol for a wonderful 8 day Ultimate Migration Safari. Our point of contact was Mary who did a wonderful job of guiding us through the planning. She answered all our questions promptly and we were glad we followed her suggestions. Our guide was Karato and that's all that needs to be said. He is the best! If you are lucky enough to get Karato as your guide, count your blessings. I chose Alaitol Safari after a great deal of research and I would do it again in a nanosecond. If you are fortunate enough to go on a Migration Safari I highly recommend Alaitol Safari"

Fantastic 8 days safari: outstanding tour operator and excellent guide - highly recommended !!

24-Aug-2019

We did the Alaitol 8-Day The Ultimate Serengeti Migration Safari in August 2019. What a fantastic experience !! In 8 days we visited Serengeti (Serengeti west, Serengeti Central, and Serengeti North). Our primary goals were to see the wildebeest migration crossing the Mara River and to see many cheetahs, our favorite cat, in addition to other wild animals. Alaitol Safari delivered on both and MORE and we were impressed by the service and professionalism of all people we encountered. All the tented camps proposed were in scenic locations with great views giving us the "Africa Experience". The service was impeccable, the rooms well-appointed with comfortable beds, food was plentiful and excellent, considering the remote location. The Safari drives were also memorable. Karato, our guide, was/is EXCELLENT and he made the difference between a good safari versus the GREAT experience we had. He is a great guide and a great person. Always responsive to our needs, he provided answers to all our questions with great details and insights. He was also very SMART in positioning our jeep in excellent viewpoints and anticipate where the animal would be ahead of all other jeeps in the area. Very well done, Karato !! In the two days spent in the Serengeti North, near the Mara River, we were able to experience several large wildebeest crossings. Karato scouted various locations and then decided where they would likely cross the river. You have to be patient and wait (the Wildebeest decide when and where to cross) but sure enough, after some time, as anticipated by Karato, they would cross. What a spectacle !! My wife challenged our guide to show her many cheetahs, and he committed to showing her 5-10. Sure enough, he delivered, and we were able to see 10 of these gorgeous cats in action at different locations. Excellent job, Karato !!! Of course, in 8 days we did not just see wildebeest or cheetahs. In the parks we visited, we saw leopards, lions, hyenas, jackals, giraffes, antelopes, hippos, elephants, zebras, warthogs, buffaloes, gazelles, and many different birds species. Finally, a very nice touch and differentiation with Alaitol Safari is lunchtime during the safari game drive. While all other safari tour operators for lunch offer to their guests a "lunch box" (literally a box with inside a sandwich, an apple, a snack, and bobble water), with Alaitol Safari you have a sit-down lunch on comfortable chairs and a table with tablecloth, dishes, silverware, drinks and vine and REAL GOOD food (soup, meat, vegetables, fresh fruit) served from metal containers kept warm or cold depending on the food. This sit down lunch with good food under a tree in the middle of the savanna MAKES a real difference in the safari experience. Excellent touch Alaitol Safari !!! We are glad we selected Alaitol Safaris Africa for our safari and we highly recommend them.
