Outstanding safari experience, excellent value

02-Oct-2024

Alaitol Safaris exceeded our expectations for our safari! Karato was our guide and he was amazing at finding animals and stopping to give us time to enjoy them. The lodging and food were excellent. Abel did a great job putting our trip together with a couple custom modifications. Overall highly recommended and a great value!

Amazing trip to Tanzania

03-Dec-2024

The trip was so fun! I felt very safe with the guide and his coworkers. The trip was indescribably amazing. We had an amazing time seeing «The big five» in Serengeti and a lot more different animals! We got to get up close with the animals by driving around on safari, and longing in the savanna. It was an unbelievable trip. We also stayed a few days in Arusha and got to learn and experience the local life there. After being in Arusha and Serengeti we flew to Zanzibar. It was very relaxing and beautiful. We visited Stone Town and we did snorkeling. We met dolphins while snorkeling, and could swim with them! That was very fun. I really loved this trip! And i would highly recommend to choose and go on with Alaitol Safari.

Blown away by our safari tour!!

14-Nov-2024

When deciding which tour operator to use, I had narrowed down my choice to about six different tour operators - all of which were based in Tanzania. I chose to go with Alaitol Safaris based upon the numerous five star reviews as well as the value that I felt I was getting for my money. Let me just say that I was not disappointed with my decision. I booked about a year in advance through Abel who customized a 10-day safari/Zanzibar trip for me. He was always available to answer every question, provide great advice, and to put every concern to rest. Always responded to me within 24 hours. When we landed in Kilimanjaro, our guide for the next 10 days, Elia, was there to greet us. Elia treated us like we were family. Such a great guide! Very knowledgeable about the behaviors of the animals and birds, and has a relentless spirit about him when it comes to finding the animals. He would talk with the other guides along the roads and listen to the radio chatter to hear which animals were being spotted and where, and then get us over there promptly so we could see. We drove over countless dirt roads in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere, but Elia knew his way around and always seems to know where to find the animals. I saw more animals than I had even hoped for. Many big cats, lions, leopard, cheetah, elephant, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest migrating across the Mara River, hippos, gazelle, monkeys, baboons, and so many more. Also, the hot air balloon was a great experience in our trip. Seeing the Serengeti from the air was such an experience. I highly recommend Alaitol safaris. They are a first class tour operator. Ask for Elia! He will take excellent care of you.

Brilliant safari and Zanzibar holiday

12-Dec-2024

I am a frequent traveller and, with my parents, this was our third safari in sub-Saharan Africa, having previously done Kenya and South Africa with other companies. This trip with Alaitol Safaris, by far, was the best! I would thoroughly recommend them and have already done so to friends, family, and even fellow travellers in Zanzibar! We worked with Abel at Alaitol to create a 10 day itinerary with accommodation that would work for us and our needs as a diverse group in age and also with dietary requirements. Abel gave us suggestions but was lovely, responsive, and also open to our ideas. Our trip started in Arusha and the Lake Manyara National Park, then to Ngorongoro, we then went to the Central and Northern Serengeti for the migration, before heading to Zanzibar for a few days. We stayed in a range of accommodation types from hotels to lodges to tented camp, and had a fantastic experience. Absolutely everything was taken care of by Abel as agreed, and our driver/guide, Baraza was just brilliant - friendly, relaxed, and knowledgeable. He is a very safe driver, who went above and beyond and engaged with us to make sure we got the most out of our safari, including ensuring our group had patience! (Mateso bila chuki! haha) We saw the big 5, and everything else... and he had the utmost respect for the animals and the environment, which is super important. Zanzibar was also spectacular, with so much to do and see, but also a much needed rest after our exciting safari. Our only regret was that we didn't stay in Tanzania and Zanzibar longer. We won't ever forget our new friends in Tanzania and Zanzibar. Ahsante sana Abel, Baraza, and Alaitol Safaris!
