Fabulous! June 2020

20-Jun-2020

From the moment we arrived in TZ we were guided through the whole process by incredibly professional personnel. Our guide Freddie was unbelievable-I can not say enough good things about him. Freddie LOVES his job, and is so dedicated to making sure that his passengers get to see and experience everything. Freddie is so attune to the wildlife and we learned so much from him. Freddie also made us feel very safe and was an excellent driver! I can't say enough good things about my experience with this company and Freddie. Bravo

We saw lion, leopard, elephant, giraffe, zebra, warthog, impala, buffalo, hyena, flamingo, hippo. ostrich and many more

Great Safari at very reasonable price

09-Dec-2023

It is hard to say what we liked most about this safari. Everything was above our expectations. The guides were very hospitable, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food that was served on the safari was surprisingly good considering that it was made in a tent camp in the middle of the Serengeti. If you also are as lucky as we were, to share a jeep with some nice people from around the world, then it is even better. All in all the price for the tours are VERY reasonable for everything you get. If we have any advice for anyone, it is to relax, and trust that the guides have everything under control when it comes to, pickups at the hotel, drop off and pick ups at the airport and everything else. But be prepared for the fact, that few things in Tanzania seems to run after a strict timetable. My girlfriend and I can both be controlfreaks, and the faster we learned that things happen when they happen and no one is in a hurry, it became a much nicer vacation for us😜 - pole pole and hakuna matata😁

Great experience!!

18-Jul-2023

Amazing safari experience! This was our first time to Africa and the group was great at giving lots of detail regarding what to expect and what to bring. The 10 day safari was perfect and I truly felt we had a full experience in just that longer time. The safari truck was comfortable. Our tents and lodge were passable. We did not stay at the recommended Arusha hotel, but they accomodated a pick up at another hotel in Arusha. Our guide Esau, was incredible and truly made our safari experience amazing including giving us the opportunity to see the big 5 and answering any and all questions! Our cook was great. You'll definitely never be hungry with three large meals per day with plenty of water and fluids provided (including beer and wine!). He even accomodated our vegetarian diets. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to the next opportunity for another safari! Some things to note: bring small bills, we tipped locals to help clean up our tents $3 USD each night. We also tipped our cook similar to the what was recommended for the guide ($10 per day per person).

This trip was so amazing!! We saw the big 5. It was so much fun. Joseph was so amazing and was able to spot several animals that were so hard to find. The chef made the best food and it was so enjoyable.

Great customer service and safari all round

26-Feb-2020

Our group of 4 went for the best 10-day safari we could have ever imagined back in February, all arranged through Alaitol Safari. All our pre-trip communication was through Mary at the head office, who was so willing and helpful throughout the process. She was very patient, answering every single point on our often long list of questions (which everyone inevitably has before going on a safari). Her replies were always very prompt, and it was a pleasure to finally get the chance to meet her in person at the Alaitol Safari office the afternoon we touched down in Arusha. Our driver guide Mr Freddy was very pleasant and always on time for all our pre-arranged meeting times during the safari, which we appreciated a lot. He also has superb driving skills (never got stuck in the muddy tracks!). He knows the perfect spot to ‘park’ our jeep so we had the best angles for viewing the animals. He had lots of patience to give us time to admire the animals for hours; he even promised to find us a wildebeest giving birth and duly delivered! Mr Freddy always kept the jeep extremely clean for us after every day of long drives through muddy fields and tracks. The vehicle we had was clean and in good condition. Cooler box could have been colder although it chilled the drinks just enough. The jeep even had charging points for a quick top-up for the camera batteries. Our family really enjoyed the safari trip, especially the time we spent in the Serengeti region. Off-road driving offers the best opportunities for getting up close to animals and observing them in their daily activities. We even managed to see 2 cheetah hunts! We had some initial reservations on having to pay the full amount of the tour even before we arrived in Arusha, but that is standard practice and we realised we needn't have worried a single bit! Everything was handled smoothly and professionally without a hitch, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mary and Freddy to anyone wanting to have a wonderful safari experience in Tanzania.
