Tour Overview
Definitely, one of the best & the most popular of our Tibet Tours, the trip includes visits to all the significant places of interest in Central & South Tibet including the Yarlung Tsangpo Valley, the cradle of Tibetan civilization. The highlight of the trip is a visit to Rongbuk Monastery & the Everest Base Camp from where the view of Everest is the most spectacular of all. During the Lhasa and Everest Tour, visitors will mostly explore the Capital city of Lhasa, full of ornate, marvelous monasteries and monuments. There in Lhasa, you will visit the majestic Potala Palace, which is famous worldwide for its great architecture and historical importance. Besides the grand Potala Palace, you will also come across the popular Drepung Monastery, Barkhor Market Area, the city area of Gyantse, Tashilhump Monastery, and many important other places and monuments. Constructed back in the 17th century, Potala Palace is an amazing human creation, drawing hundreds of thousands of tourists every year. Many people come to Tibet just to witness the beauty of the great Palace. It also contains the private quarters of the Dalai Lama. After we are finished, we have the opportunity to either walk or drive from Rongbuk to Everest Base Camp, a dream for many people around the world. Upon arriving there, we feel that we are part of a piece of history. The best mountaineers around the world have had their attempt at climbing Mt. Everest (8848m), and you will see a city of tents, a landmark to people waiting for their chance to climb it. Our Lhasa and Everest Tour provides a wonderful opportunity for the travel enthusiasts from across the globe to travel around Tibet, observe its ancient monasteries, monuments and Gompas. Tibet exploration also makes it possible to view the panoramic vistas of the mountains including the Mount Everest, the world’s tallest mountain peak, and other mountains like Mount Makalu, Mount Lhotse and Mount Cho Oyu. Do not miss out on this amazing opportunity that combines both natural and cultural wonders for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Outline Itinerary
