Tour Overview

The tour kicks off in Kathmandu, where you will explore the city's several UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambunath (also known as Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Each place is rich in culture and history. Swoyambunath is full of symbolism and is one of the oldest religious sites in Nepal (over 2000 years old!). The Buddhist temple offers an incredible view of Kathmandu. Pasupatinath Temple is the most famous Hindu temple in the country. You can see sadhus (holy men) meditating, pilgrims bathing, and bodies being cremated on the banks of the Bagmati River. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest Buddhist shrines in the world. Here we can see monks and devotees circumnavigating the stupa. Finally, Kathmandu Durbar Square is an old palace of the former Kathmandu Kingdom. It is one of three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley. Then, enjoy the 10 minute cable car ride up to Manakamana Temple, a famous worship site for Hindus. The same day, we reach Chitwan National Park, famous for its biodiversity. Take a ride on the back of an elephant and possibly see rhinoceros, deer, wild boars, and even a Bengal tiger. There is plenty to do in Chitwan National Park, so use your days wisely. We'll also have delicious food and a get to experience a traditional Tharu dance. This package is a perfect way to make the most of your eight days in Nepal. The final destination is Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city and popular destination for adventure tourism. We head to Sarangkot for an exquisite tour of several famous sites: Bindawasini Temple, Davi's Fall, Gupteswar Cave, and Seti Gorge.

Cultural Heritage and Nature Experiences Tour

06-Sep-2023

The tour was very good. Tour company owner and our primary contact Rana and our driver Dinesh were very good to deal with. Rana picked us up from the airport and sat us down to explain what to expect for the next 7 days on our tour. We went in August, which happens to be the rainy season, and thus was not a busy season, so it eneded up being a private tour. We had the same driver throughout the tour, but our guides changed at each destination. And they were all very good to deal with

Rana was very welcoming and hospitable. Flying from the UK as a solo female traveller , I was a little nervous, however Rana made me feel at ease and my driver and tour guides throughout the tour were friendly and accommodating and trustworthy, I felt safe and in good hands. I would highly recommend Rana’s tour company to everyone

Cultural Heritage and Nature Experiences Tour - 8 Days

18-Sep-2019

Brilliant combination balancing history, culture, arts/crafts, nature and environment - great alternative to usual treaking offerings Great to have personalized service of tour director, personal guide, car and driver. Much better than a group tour. Much better, faster and safer than using tourist buses offered by other tours

I had an amazing trip! I recommend 100%!! When I arrived in Kathmandu I was welcomed by the tour company owner, Rana, who discussed the trip with me and made me feel really at ease (solo female traveler). I thought it was really great for him to come and welcome me at the airport and have coffee with me at the hotel. He really cares about his customers and ensuring that they have a wonderful trip. My guide was Sanjaya who guided me through Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Pokhara. He was extremely knowledgeable, fun, and helpful throughout the journey. I got quite ill at the end of the trip and he was very attentive. I loved everything about this trip and will be returning to Nepal again and traveling with this company again!
