Tour Overview
Our Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour is a specially designed tour that takes pilgrims to the sacred monasteries and Stupas of Nepal. The main objective of the Buddhist Darshan Tour is to make sure that the visitors get to visit the popular and sacred monasteries in Nepal like Lumbini, Boudhanath Stupa, Swyambhunath, and many others. Amongst them, Lumbini is the most sacred of them all, as it is the birth place of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. Buddha was born in Lumbini some 2500 years ago. It is one of the iconic places in Nepal and given its historical importance, it remains a widely visited and beloved place in Nepal. Buddhist Darshan Tour commences from the cultural city of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Besides visiting Bouddhanath Stupa, the largest Stupa in Nepal, and the 2000 year-old Swyambhunath Stupa, located in a hillock in Kathmandu, you will also visit several of the Durbar Squares - ancient Newari kingdoms. They are centuries old and they command great artistry and sculptures. All the three Durbar Squares, and the twin Stupas—Swyambhunath and Boudhhanath—and Lumbini have been enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage Site as they are not just the treasures of Nepal, but the entire world. You can also visit the Hindu Lord Shiva shrine at the Pashupatinath Temple while in Kathmandu. Buddhist Darshan Tour is the best tour package available if you are curious to learn about Buddhism and the various monuments in Nepal. Even if you are not Buddhist, but are simply curious about Buddhism, this is a great opportunity for you.
