It is smaller and much less hectic than Kathmandu, hence providing the perfect starting point for our trek.

Day 4 : Drive To Hile (1,430 M) - 2 To 3 Hours And Trek To Ulleri (2,020 M) – 1.5 To 2 Hours

Location: Nayapul Trekking Starting Point, Ulleri

We will take a drive for 3 hours from Pokhara to Hile before starting the trek. The road until Nayapul is paved in concrete. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach there. Beyond this point until Hile, the drive for 1.5 hours will be in dirt and unpaved road. It will be a bumpy ride, so be prepared mentally for the challenge. We will rest for a while and then start our trek to Ulleri, a large Magar village. Location: Ghode Pani

Accommodation: Lodge

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We move on towards our destination Ghorepani, a popular scenic village at an altitude of 2,840 m. The trail ascends more gently from Ulleri, through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons, towards Banthanti at 2,250 m. Then we trek towards Nangethanti at 2,460 m. After an hour walk we arrive at Ghorepani.

There we spend about 1 hour and returning to Ghorepani, we take a hot breakfast. Then we make a climb along ridges, and through pine and rhododendron forests, towards Deurali (2,960 m). After that, we descend to the Banthanti, then turn off to Tadapani.

Day 7 : Trek To Chomrong (2,140 M) – 4 To 5 Hours

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today the trail drops down to the Chomrong Khola and again we continue climbing to Khuldighar at 2,380 m where there used to be an ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area) check post. There is a clearing in the forest a little further on, from which, the route travels very steeply down a rock bank, then levels out, running through thickets of bamboo at the bottom of the gorge, keeping always on the west side of the river. We walk through bamboo and rhododendron forests to the Himalayan Hotel.

Day 9 : Trek To Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 M) - 6 To 7 Hours

Location: Annapurna Base Camp

Accommodation: Lodge, Lodge

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today the trail climbs on past the Hinko Cave, Deurali and then Machapuchare Base Camp, which isn’t really a base camp since climbing Mt Machapuchare is not permitted. Since it is totally surrounded by mountains, this area is known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. Two hours trek from Machapuchare Base Camp takes us to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at elevation of 4,130 m. There, we will view unobstructed views of mountain scenery, which is very spectacular.

Day 10 : Trek To Bamboo (2345 M) - 6 To 7 Hours

The road until Nayapul is unpaved and uneven as it was recently made. We will have a bumpy and challenging drive. This section lasts for 2 hours of the total drive. From Nayapul onwards, the road is paved in conrete and is more maintained than the previous section. But it is still a mountain road, so we need to be careful. In 1.5 hours from Nayapul, we will reach Pokhara.

The trek itself was a spectalular experience. But we enjoyed all aspects of the trip, Our guide Sunil was fantastic

15-Nov-19

The trek had spectacular views of the Annapurna range but we enjoyed travelling through the mountain village along scenic and challenging trails. Our guide, Sunil always was attentive to our safety and needs and was a companion we enjoyed travelling with. The porters were able and friendly and we always invited them to join us at the end of day's trek for refreshments.

ABC Trek April 2019

09-May-19

I did the Annapurna Base Camp trek in April 2019 with a group of like-minded friends from Melbourne, Australia. We had been in touch with ACE the Himalaya since 2018 to arrange the trek. The communication with Mr Prem Khatry and Mr Lokesh Gurung was exceptional. They handled all our doubts and queries promptly and gave detailed information about pre-planning and equipment, stay, food etc. Only couple of days before the trek I developed an Achilles Tendon soreness in one foot and was not sure if I could do the trek. We asked for help and a slight change in route for the first couple of days for me. ACE were very prompt in response and immediately arranged a modified route for me for the first three days and also arranged a guide/porter to accompany me on that section. Mr Dipak Dahal was our main Guide for the whole trek. He accompanied us from day one to the last day and took care of all our guesthouse and food arrangements. He always checked after the health of each person in our group and made arrangements each day to have the fast walkers and medium-pace walkers to be accompanied by a Assistant Guide/ porters. He himself always walked with the slow group and made sure all of us made the journey safely and without any problems. Mr Dhan kumar Rana was my Guide/Porter for the first three days. He was very helpful during that part and always checked after our health/ food/ amenities at every stop. Ever-smiling and always ready to help, and a very good friend he became. The ACE Guides/porters support team made our trek very enjoyable and we were able to spend our time contemplating the beauty of this region, the Annapurna ranges and peaks, the swing bridges, Modi river, waterfalls ..... I would highly recommend ACE the Himalaya to anyone considering trekking in Nepal.

Wow! Annapurna Base Camp - 14 days

09-Nov-2019

WOW! What a beautiful and challenging adventure made possible by the amazing people at Ace the Himalaya! We were literally seamlessly taken care of from beginning to end, from organization prior to arriving to an extended stay due to a medical issue. This company is truly amazing. After our trek was over, I broke my ankle in a freak accident in Kathmandu. Even though my time with Ace was up, Madan (our guide) and Sajiya have been nothing short of amazing. Madan was at the hospital 20 min after we reached him and stayed there all day to make sure I was ok and got back to the hotel ok. Sajiya has come to the hotel each extended day of our trip to check in on my recovery and make sure we have the appropriate accommodations to get to the airport. I simply can’t put into words my thankfulness for the all around support that we’ve received! I would recommend Ace the Himalaya in a heartbeat! They have been with us step by step and beyond!! I am so grateful! You will not be disappointed!

Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek

10-May-2019

Our trekking group decided to attempt Annapurna base camp (ABC) trek in April. We liaised with ABC. And they were extremely helpful and prompt in their response. Although two of our trekkers had heal problems in the last few days they were extremely flexible and organized additional guide and porters for those two and they joined us via a shorter/direct route to Chomrong, while the rests of us did the Poo Hill trek as per original planning. They helped another of the fellow trekker who had developed health issues during the trek by carrying all his weight and Deepak the main guide stayed with him throughout the trek and gave him encouragement to ensure he could complete the trek. Amish who me fondly nicknamed Junior was also extremely caring and superb in providing help to everyone. Within our group of 11 trekkers some were slow and others fast to Medium in their pace. Deepak ensured there was always some guide/asst guide or senior porters walking with all of us at all times to ensure our safety and well being. If we were to another trek in Nepal I would definitely go again with Ace The Himalayas and would have no hesitation in recommending them to any one else.
