It was a really fantastic and unforgettable nine days round trip from Dublin to Galway including celebrating even two birthdays! Terry was amazing and legendary, he showed us the most beautiful places and entertained us with Irish stories, music and songs. So, we will be back definitely! BIG THANKS to Hilltoptrek and Terry from the Croatian hiking group! 🤗

We had a great time on our tour to New Grange, the Boyne Valley and Monasterboice. Our guide, Matt was very knowledgeable and entertaining as well

St. Kevin was an excellent driver on all the narrow and winding roads. He was informative and his song playlist was outstanding. We very much enjoyed the horseback riding, as well as our time in Enniskerry and the old monastery. One suggestion: Have copies of the monastery trail maps available rather than having us take pictures of the lone laminated one.

An excellent tour to Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains. Matt was a brilliant tour guide with many fascinating stories and infomation about the area and the history. He is clearly very passionate about the history of this beautiful part of the world and I learnt so much. The minibus was comfortable and it's much better to do a tour with a small group. The lunch stop at Poppies was also delicious.

Gorgeous views of Powerscourt Gardens, Wicklow Mountains and Gleandalough. Our driver/guide Linda us very knowledgeable and delightful. The lunch at Poppies in Enniskerry was so yummy and hit the spot. Rain didn’t slow us down. Great tour for those interested in getting outta of Dublin.

Johnnie was a great guide. He did his very best to make our excursion both pleasant and informative.

I took a trip to Ireland solo for my birthday and booked tours in advance. Matt was a fantastic tour guide and his knowledge of the history of Ireland was amazing. I did three tours with different companies, however, this one was by far the best. It’s not necessarily the locations that made everything better, that was a huge bonus, but having someone passionate about what they do made it worth every penny. I will be back in Ireland, hopefully soon, and will definitely book this tour again. Thanks Matt and Hilltop Treks!

We actually prefer exploring national parks by ourselves, but we were glad we didn't this time because it's huge and then we would have missed on a lot of information about Ireland, the Irish language and specifically the Wicklow area from our wonderful guide. Gillian. We were lucky with the weather. It was a sunny day and not very cloudy. We chose the "Day Tour from Dublin of Wicklow, Glendalough" with a guided walk. (Be mindful of what you book, because there are different options and it's best to book on their website) The guided walk isn't that far +/- 3,5km. But it is absolutely worth it if the weather is great. No need to bring food, because we stopped at Poppies and the food was delicious.

I did two Tours with Hiltop Treks. One was a hinking tour to Dublin mountains with Terry. It was amazing even it was raining the whole 17km but at the end we had a greatful view at Dublin and the sea. The second tour I did with Richard to powerscout and glendalough. He gave us much Information about the area and stopped at really nice places. I recomend Hiltop Trecks very much, I enjoyed both tours. Thank you!

Loved this outing. He was on time, had good stories, kept us informed and did a great job driving. The day itself had a visit to a beautiful park, old Abby and a cute village to stop in for lunch. Our driver was Kevin and would hope that others got as much enjoyment out of the day that we did.

Awesome experience of the Irish mountains. Beautiful perspective, loved visiting Powerscourt, and the lochs. Would recommend if you love the outdoors!

We had a wonderful tour of the Wicklow Mtns., Glendalough, Avoca Weavers, and the Vale of Avoca with Kevin yesterday. It exceeded our expectations He did not rush us, he made suggestions for our itinerary, and played some music for us. He helped us understand the history of the area better and took us through some spectacular scenery. He went above and beyond for us.

My husband and I were so very happy when I found spot on this tour to Newgrange, Knowth, and the Boyne valley. The bus was air-conditioned and very comfortable. Our tour guide, Matt, was exceptional in his knowledge of the areas we were visiting. I learned so much from him. These ancient sites were amazing and well worth seeing. I would book with this company again!

Great tour to Powerscourt Garden, Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough! We had a fantastic guide/ driver/ comedian in MATT! He is historically very well educated and tells everything with lots of humor! We were a party of 5 and had a wonderful day! Happy Days!

Kevin is an amazing tour guide and storyteller. I had a great time learning about Irish folklore and history, and I even made a few friends along the way. I highly recommend this tour through the Boyne Valley!

Loved the excursion from Dublin to the Wicklow Mountains with a horseback ride and then on to Glendalough to explore the monastic settlement and 2 lakes there. Linda, our driver was great and shared fun and interesting stories on the drive out! Ella and Joe at the stables were patient and helped us all get comfortable before heading out on the ride through the hills and forested area nearby. It was a great way to start our weeklong vacation to Ireland. The Wicklow Mountains are beautiful! Many breathtaking views along the drive to Glendalough! Highly recommend this tour and HilltopTreks as a guide!

After coming to ireland , this is my first ever trip with hiltoptreks. Our guide Linda was extremely kind and shared with us the history behind each place. The Plethora of information she passed on us made me more exiting and that ireland had such a background ingrained made the trail more intriguing. I recommend hilltoptreks to all the newbies on board .

Tommy was a top notch driver and an informative guide. Such a pleasurable day. Appreciated that the guides at Knowth and Newgrange were so knowledgable and focused on our group. This was the top of my list in Ireland to see and this tour provided exactly what I had hoped for.

We took the day trip to Newgrange and the Boyne Valley. Other than the torrential downpour, it was a great day. The tour bus arrived on time and our guide was full of information. The tour bus was a bit small (you really get to know your neighbors- haha!) Our guide Joseph, I believe, was the only tour guide we had that actually helped my mom off the bus (she has mobility issues and needed a little more time). He was also the only tour guide that didn’t ask for a tip- we gave him one anyway. The first 2 stops at Newgrange and Howth were amazing. The last 2 stops I could’ve skipped (or replaced with something else). The stop in Droghada for lunch wasn’t too exciting. I wish they had more information on the Battle of the Boyne there. Monasterboise was cool but a short visit that seemed like a weird add on. All in all a great day!

The tour was fantastic. Definitely recommend. Matt was amazing. I did not expect to learn so much history along with the beautiful scenery.
