Terry the tour guide, she was amazing.. Full of life and personality we could tell how much she loves her job… and John the driver both were a great team. Terry very friendly and very knowledgeable and she is so beautiful… ! John very funny guy and very friendly we felt like we were with family taking a road trip. We spent 12 amazing hours sightseeing the beautiful Scottish Highlands. We will do it again. Thank you Terry and Thank you John. Keep up the great work. 👍👍👍👍👍

Went on the Highland Experience tour today. Started in Edinburgh, drove up the center of Scotland and returned on the western highway. We stopped in several places, most notably Loch Ness and the Three Sisters of Glencoe. The trip was absolutely incredible and what made it even better was our comedic and informative tour guide Steven B (not Steven A). I highly recommend doing the tour with Steven B as he was thorough and concise with his explanations of what we were seeing, also adding a few clever jokes along the way. Make sure to ask if he’s a “True Scotsman” if you do the tour with him.

I was honestly worried this would be too long of a day. Alex made it perfect. He stopped just enough times for some AMAZING photo spots. He gave great info without talking TOO much. The music was not too loud either. I am so glad I chose this specific tour because you really had enough time to do everything. JUST USE THE BATHROOM WHEN HE SAYS. Also, the food options at the first stop was actually really good (but pack snacks if you get hungry like me). Dinner coming home was harder so if you need dinner before 830PM pack food. Do you HAVE to do boat and castle tour? No, but I got some great photos and the boat had alcohol and a bathroom. The bus was the least comfortable I’ve been on with all of my tours on my trip, but not a reason to not go. Highly recommend!!

My friend and I booked on, and we had the lovely Brodie as our guide! From start to finish, he was lovely. Very knowledgeable, and we felt the day had a great pace. Loved every stop and photo op. Would highly recommend this tour, and Brodie, you won't regret it!

Outstanding tour. Guide Terry and Driver Alex were exceptional. Good historical and fun information about the sights and places. Yes, there is a lot of time on the bus, but any one-day tour of the highlands from Edinburgh will be long. The journey was enjoyable and paced adequately! Comfort stops and sightseeing stops were planned perfectly. What an enjoyable day. Being able to see so many different things in one day is wonderful. I had thought of renting a car and driving it myself, but this was so much better. We never would have been able to do it on our own in the time. I highly recommend Highland Experience Tours. They took use through some of the most beautiful areas on earth! So happy we chose this tour. Value for price spent, and experiences had was top notch! Thanks for a wonderful day in Scotland.

My time in Scotland would have been remiss without this experience!! I could not have asked for a better tour experience or a better tour guide! I did the 'Scottish Highlands and Loch Ness Tour'. Firstly, the buses are very easy to find and check-in to the bus is extremely simple! My tour guide was Keith and he was both tour guide and bus driver. Immediately, we hit the road and got so much information throughout the 13 hour trip! He was extremely knowledgeable, very funny, and extremely warm. He sprinkled in personal stories from his life and his family's that truly made the history come alive. I went on a similar tour to this one in Ireland and this one had significantly more stops and views! I also felt like I had sufficient time at each stop along the path to take photos as well as to sit and just take in the splendor of the Scottish countryside. Keith was also a very safe driver (he mentioned being a bus driver before being a tour guide) and I never felt nervous or as if he was driving too fast!! I highly recommend taking the Loch Ness cruise and exploring Castle Urquhart! Along the journey, there were ample rest stops for snacks and restrooms and so I never felt overly uncomfortable. I will think about this tour for a long time and Keith was a perfect shepherd throughout all of it! I highly recommend this experience!

Amazing trip through the Highlands to Isle of Skye. Breathtaking iconic Scottish scenery and memorable experiences. Fairy Pools are a great addition to this one day tour (where other tours only add it on two day trips). Owen was a fantastic guide. Pleasant, funny, good story teller.

2 AMAZING days!

Amazing! That is all I can say. Absolutely, amazing! We spent the most wonderful 2 days with our guide Steven B, who made this trip over the top amazing. We had unexpected side trips, a beautiful hotel, fabulous food, we met some lifelong friends, saw the unbelievably beautiful Highlands, learned some history we've never heard before, rode a piece of history with the Jacobite train. We will never think of The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond the same way after learning the background story. I have never been on a guided tour before and I don't know that I can ever do another one because there is no way it will be as good as this one. Thank you Steven B for this amazing memory for my Daughter, my Mom, myself, along with the other members of our group.

We had a brilliant 3 day Skye tour with Iain as our guide. He was fun and engaging and clearly loves his job and his country. His knowledge of the sites we visited was impressive and his dj’ing for the stretches of driving was fun. The highlands are stunning - rain or shine and we had both. We’d love to come back to really dig in and do a private hiking tour, but this was a great introduction to the highlands, hitting major cultural and historic places. I love this country - thanks Highland Experiences and Iain for making it so memorable!

We went on the Loch Ness and highlands day trip and the tour was excellent, we got to see a lot of cool things and to enjoy the wonderful Scottish scenery. Our driver and tour guide, Paul Stokes, was very good: friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. I highly recommend this tour!

Our family had a great experience on our one-day tour. Our guide, Steven B, was phenomenal—he was very fun, personable, and communicative, letting us know exactly what to expect for the schedule and telling interesting and engaging stories about the places we saw along the way. We learned a lot about Scottish history and saw many beautiful landscapes throughout the day, which was certainly long, but well-paced. My husband and I had a wonderful trip to the Highlands for the day! Our tour guide/driver was hilarious and also very informative about Scotland and Scottish culture. He also did a great job keeping us moving along in a timely manner while also giving us plenty of breaks to make the long day very doable! I think the value for this tour was excellent! I think our tour guides name was Steven B (B for “best”!)

We received plenty of communication before the tour took place. Our guide Michael was very friendly and provided information about the sites we visited all throughout the tour. We had enough time in each site to enjoy the views and take pictures. The van/shuttle was comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend the tour for anyone who wants to meet the scottish highlands.

I would give this guided trip a 5 star trip! Me and my wife went together and we both had a great time! Without a car it is very difficult to get to the highlands when visiting Edinburgh. I think this is the best way to do it! You get some incredible views, learn so many interesting facts and see some very historical sights. This is the longest single day guided trip in the whole of Europe (13 hours!). There is a lot of travelling, you spend most of the time on the coach although the tour guide/driver makes sure that you get as many stops as possible where you can stretch your legs etc! Our tour guide (Chris) and the trainee (Hugh), which Chris liked to remind us he is a trainee, were both really great! They were very knowledgeable, gave us lots of cool and interesting information throughout the whole trip. I strongly recommend paying for both the Lock ness river tour and the Castle entrance. It is quite an added expense but otherwise you are waiting around with very little to do! The boat tour and castle trip is really interesting, you get great pictures and get to see some lovely views. Overall, a great trip, it helps you see parts of Scotland which are difficult to get too, there is lovely views, great picture opportunities, a boat tour and a castle look around! Would highly recommend, despite the cost!

I had the most amazing time on this four-day Highlands trip! Our guide, Neil, was exceptional. We had a very mixed-needs group, with children, seniors, students, and more, and he made sure that everybody was happy and comfortable the entire time. His knowledge and love for Scotland were impressive, and kept everyone thoroughly entertained as we drove through the countryside. We were all sad to leave when the tour was over. The tour itself is very well organized, and I would recommend the four-day trip, as you never feel rushed. The landscapes are absolutely stunning, as are the little villages you will have time to explore. The accommodation was extremely authentic, yet comfortable, and gave a deeper understanding of the rural Scottish way of life. I would like to come back with friends and do this tour again next year, and would heartily recommend it to anybody. Thank you again, Neil!

This was an outstanding tour of the Highlands and Orkney Islands! Customer service was next level all around. The tour guide makes all the difference and in this case Eddie exceeded all expectations! His focus on customer convenience and comfort, as well as his knowledge of Scotland, was simply top notch. I highly recommend this tour.

Had a great time zipping around The Highlands with our driver, Steven B! Would have preferred a shorter first stop as the tour had just started and would have allowed for some extra time in a couple of other places that were more interesting. Steven B was funny and extremely talented in his handling of the tour bus, had us in the front row rooting for him every time he made to pass a slow driver.

Just finished a two day tour with Steven B and could not speak highly enough of both him and the tour! The tour was super comprehensive, with the perfect balance of group time and free time. We got to see so many beautiful parts of Scotland and have a laugh while doing it, what more could you ask for! Steven was very knowledgeable and personable (plus, a beast behind the wheel during Scottish rain!) Could not recommend going on a tour with this company more!

We did the 13 hour tour and you spend a lot of time on the bus. The bus was very comfortable and clean, Terry kept us informed and entertained with stories and music. The driver Dave needs a new mic, a lot of static made it difficult to understand all the information he shared. If you have less time and want to enjoy the Highlands in a short time, this is the best way to do it. We saw the sun for like 15 minutes, so glad I did not choose to drive.

We had a wonderful time on the tour. Steven B, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept us engaged and enthralled with stories about Scotland’s history and culture and information on the sites we were visiting. Highly recommend this tour to anybody wishing to see the Highlands but short on time.

Scotland is breathtaking, people are great and very helpful, and I will for sure come back. Still, we struggled to fully appreciate the tour (we took part in Ultimate Skye Experience at the end of February). First of all, the departure was more than half an hour late, and the we didn’t fully understand what was going to be the plan for the day, since no clear information or schedule was provided by the driver once we got on board. Once we reached our different destinations, the mood luckily changed. We loved Scotland and the Highlands, considering great food, amazing places and cute towns, and pictures that bring us back with nostalgic memories! Coming back to the tour itself, since the driver was also the guide, at times it was confusing what to expect from him in terms of narration of the visited landmarks, and during the driving we honestly struggled to understand what he was saying. I know it could sound a bit rude , but with a strong Scottish accent it was challenging to grasp the context and the core of his tales, tips or curiosities. For non-native speakers (although we are fluent in English) we would have imagined a little more effort to make sure an international audience can actually understand what, as a guide, you care to communicate. In addition, the stops were probably a few to many in places just for pictures, while other landmarks and little villages would have been worth a longer visit to fully enjoy the place rather than have just 60 minutes for eating. To conclude, we were a bit surprised with somehow an aggressive driving style, especially when is pouring and the roads are quite narrow. A safe driving is probably a better choice, although we have also seen other tours companies and cars driving pretty quickly along the same roads. In short, the tour is probably worth the money if you plan your own accomodation in Inverness, and if you are ready to use your google maps extensively to research valuable information and find directions in the different stops of the tour. Otherwise you might find yourself a bit lost and don’t get to experience the same magic of Scotland we ultimately did feel!

My husband and I had an incredible time on a 3 day Skye tour, we can’t say enough good things about it! Our tour guide Neil was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area, its history and people, and shared his knowledge with us in a fun and engaging way. He went above and beyond to ensure that everyone was comfortable, entertained, and involved throughout the tour. The tour had just the right balance of sightseeing, activities, and downtime. We were able to see and experience so much more than I had anticipated. I highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to have Neil as a guide, you will enjoy it even more 😊

We had an absolutely incredible experience with our tour. Rob is an amazing guide, he tolled us many stories during these three days. We saw many beautiful places, and thanks to Rob, also had a lot of fun along the way. It could not be better. We invest some time searching for the right route and a right touring company to choose, and the choice we made was just perfect.

We had an absolutely great time! Terri was delightful, we love her humor and willingness to answer any questions we had along the way. Looking for unicorns was a fun added aspect of the journey. Our driver for the day Mark was awesome. He kept us safe and I'm completely amazed at the way he can maneuver the bus into tight spaces! The Mark/Terri duo was fabulous!

Our 5 day Highland experience tour was one of the most perfect tours we have been on. The itinerary covered all the sights as stated and some bonus sights too. We were a small group of 11 friendly and happy world travellers that got along instantly. Alex, our tour guide was informative, cheerful and always there for us. He kept our spirits up throughout the tour with the stories of the land and a touch of his hilarious flare. At each drop off point he made sure to aquiant us with the near by shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The accommodations were very warm, cozy and comfortable. The one at Skye was especially wonderful. The warm hosts made us feel right at home the moment we got there. We took with us unforgettable memories of the spectacular vast history of Scotland, it's mesmerizing lochs, mountains, castles, sheeps, hairy coos and of course whisky ice cream and marmalade.

My tour of the Highlands was great!!! Steven B was our tour guide and driver. That's not an easy feat to do both while driving the winding roads of the Highlands. He was so informative and such a history buff. Steven included so many details and stories behind each stop along the way. He was very polite, accommodating and extremely funny. He kept us in the loop about all the stops and gave us so much prior information before our stops. He also played some lovely Scottish music on the bus with the history behind the songs. He had a great personality and made the tour so enjoyable. He kept to the time schedule as well and even went to look for someone who didn't come back to the bus on time. I would highly recommend Steven B for any tours around Scotland. He was the best!

The Scottish Highlands one day tour was Amazing and packed full of stops! Our group was excellent about keeping on time so we were able to make extra stops to view and explore. The bus ride was comfortable and our guides were knowledgeable and entertaining! We will most definitely take another tour!

We had so much fun. Easy pickup..right on time. Luckily we only had 11 people on it with Chris as guide, JR in "training ", Graham and Georgina getting a look! Chris was terrific. FUN ,FUNNY, knew his stuff, really made us feel special. Really knew how to "read" his crowd. We never felt rushed and we squeezed in a quick stop at Bannockburn. And an unexpected stop under the Forth Bridge! The early times enable us to miss the crowds. All employees at stops were friendly and helpful. Even with imagine this..A Rainy Spring Day in Scotland...HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Scottish highlands and beautiful isle of skye

We took the tour in November. We had a very short visit to Scotland visiting cities and wanted to see the highlands and isle of skye. Our tour guide Maj was fantastic. He had a wonderful sense of humour and shared Scottish history and folklore amazingly well. Loved the scenery! It was a lot of driving, but we wanted to see it all. Would highly recommend this tour!

Highland Experience rocked this tour from the start and our guide/driver Stefan was absolutely amazing. This was a bespoke tour and we hit all the major sites in the Highlands you can imagine. In a few cases, Stefan made some suggestions based on getting to know our group and hit each stop out of the park. He is very knowledgeable, and shares his knowledge freely with you along the way to bring context, history and excitement to all there is to see. All accommodations for our group were great, and their recommendations (and help with reservations during peak tourism season) were all fantastic. Make sure you hit the Tarbat Discovery Centre if it isn’t on your list. This was my favorite historical stop of the entire trip! Thanks again to Stefan for being completely awesome, and to Catherine for organizing this trip of a lifetime!

I was blow away by the scenery, impressed with John's superior driving skills and thoroughly entertained by Terri guiding and playing DJ at the front of the bus. Getting tickets for a boat ride on Loch Ness and walking around Urquhart Castle was super easy through Terri, and each stop (plus a bonus one to meet the hairy coos) was utterly breathtaking. 13 hours way seem long to sit in a bus but the seats were comfortable, our travel companions were nice and it even stopped raining whenever we got of the bus - so I would definitely recommend this tour - a great way to see the Highlands and so much more!

I couldn’t recommend this tour more! Chloe and John were the absolute best. It’s a really long day, but you see some of the most beautiful sights. Some unexpected stops too, like seeing the Nevis Range. We were really lucky with the weather and I’d say this time of the year is the best to go. Value for money is great. Thanks again guys!! Definitely would do it again.

I booked this tour back in 2017 alone and decided to go again on 29.04.2024 with my sister for her birthday. Best decision ever! Our guide was Terry, and our driver was Ian. Terry is the best guide you can ask for! She is smart, funny, and has loads of knowledge, and I love the way she explains the history of Edinburgh, Highlands, and Scotland in general! She keeps you engaged, and you make the whole experience fun and pleasant. She also shared some fab tips of places to visit in Edinburgh, like the Dean's Village and the Witch Memorial. Ian is a super driver! We had to do a diversions and I still can't believe he managed to drive the coach on that super narrow bridge! I wouldn't be able to do it with a car, imagine with a coach! Impressive driver skills he deserves a statue! Thank you, Terry and Ian! Hope to join you again soon to listen to your funny jokes (sorry, Terry, Ian won on this one! We attended this tour as a family. It was a wonderful experience, the highlights of the tour being, of course, the stunning views and excellent organisation of the tour, but made even more entertaining by our tour guide Terry and driver Mike. Terry's enthusiasm and energy was infectious, and we found her absolutely adorable! Her jokes (some of them delectably poor :D), quizzes, interesting stories and legends kept everyone entertained and enthralled. Thanks to her, we even got to see some unicorns! :D Terry's vivaciousness belied her knowledge — I'm sure we would have learnt a ton of more stuff about Scotland if we were booked on a longer multi-day tour. Mike was not to be outdone, and if not for the responsibility of having to drive (which he did admirably well), he would have regaled everyone with his sense of humour and information. The tour was comprehensive and covered a lot of sightseeing. But it wasn't the usual "Look at these and take photos for your social media" kind of tour. It have us an insight into the life, history and culture of Scotland. We had several thoughtfully planned food, toilet and photo stops, one of my favourite being an opportunity to meet the Hairy Coos! We loved this tour and would most definitely do a multi-day tour in future.

Allan was our tour guide, and he was exceptional: very knowledgeable, soft-spoken, and witty. He managed time very well and took us through Scottish history and mythology. Did the 12hr tour across the Highlands, Loch Ness and Glen Coe and it was so much fun. Our guide Terri was full of energy and stories, all very informative of the Scottish history. Loved every second of it and I would love to do it again. The driver John was also fun to talk to. They make a lively duo I have to say! Absolutely the best! The tour was amazing! Well worth it! The beautiful and scenic Highlands and Glen Coe was absolute stunning! Our guides Audrey and Ian were exceptional, informative and funny. My son and I had a great time and I fell in love with the Highland Coos!

Easily the best tour I've ever been on! Steven B (definitely not to be confused with Steven A!!) was just a fantastic lively and brilliant Scotsman and Tour Guide. His timing for jokes and punchlines throughout our tour was nearly as good as the views we enjoyed in the highlands. The ride was smooth, comfortable and we had a great experience. Steven's knowledge of Scotland was helpful and informative as we travelled across the Highlands. It was great to put history together with place. Overall 10/10, I wish we could have seen Nessie so we could give Steven the £5 million he deserves for the tours he gives. Hoping Highland Experience pays him well enough for what he does! Fantastic tours and guides. Did the Highlands one day tour last year and was amazing. So this year I came back and did the Scottish experience five day tour. Luckily we got J. R. As the tour guide and we couldn't have been in better hands. Everything was lovely, professional and on time. Highly recommend.

Had the best experience!!! Our guide John was amazing made the entire day spectacular. During the long stretches of drives he always had such interesting facts and stories about the Scottish culture. The highlands were beautiful even in the snow. I’d definitely take a tour with them again.

We just came back from a lovely 2-day tour full of emotions and great new memories. Our guide, Jamie made our trip unforgettable with his captivating stories and great local music. We laughed a ton and enjoyed every bit of the journey. His recommendations for places to eat, catch live music, and see the sights were spot on. The trip with Owen was absolutely amazing. The whole group of 8 was perfectly taken care of. Owen was telling us amazing Scottish stories and legends, he showed us out-of-the-way spots, as well as most popular and breathtaking ones. We visited two castles on the way to the Isle of Skye, where we ate lunch and saw the most beautiful landscapes in our lives! During our trip we made numerous stops, fe. near Loch Ness, in the forest, to pet hairy cows. We are grateful for such a friendly, straightforward and committed guide! We highly recommend the trip as well as the Owen guidance!

I’m so happy I booked this tour! The highlands are beautiful and our guide Chloe and our driver Alex brought us to amazing spots and gave us great history. Photos don’t do the highlands justice and I’m just so thankful I got to experience it with this great tour/group. I recommend this tour and would do it again. Just be aware that it is a lot of bus time (didn’t bother me) because the highlands are a bit away from Edinburgh. But multiple stops are made (we even saw some highland coos!) and you get to see the scenery both at stops and during the ride.

Couldn’t recommend more! We did the Skye/Highlands 3 day tour with Keith and it was so incredible! Keith was an absolutely phenomenal tour guide and truly made this such an amazing experience. He was so knowledgeable and comprehensive and we got to see so much in a short period of time. He also went above and behind to customize the tour to guests interests and was very mindful about making enough stops. If you’re looking for a tour I would highly recommend this company and Keith specifically!

The trip was very pleasant, though it was a bit rushed (I don’t blame them, though, to cover 360 miles in one day, with a bus full of people, and many stops along the way.) To really experience the highlands, you will need to go on a 3 or 5 day tour. Having said that, we really enjoyed Stephen B.’s driving, courtesy, service, patience, and his knowledge of history. We learned a lot from him on this excursion.

We did a 3 days tour in The Highlands. And what an experience!!! Our guide Keith made this trip unforgettable. The level of knowledge that Keith has about Scotland and the way he communicated it to us was incredible and very passionate. We've learned a lot and had good laughs too. He also took us to really beautiful places with real dramatic landscape. Totally recommended to anyone visiting the Highlands for the first time. We are definitely coming back for more!

Despite the rainy day, Paul gave us a superb tour of Loch Ness and the Highlands. His knowledge, stories, and passion for his country are exceptional, but even more impressive was his desire to always learn and explore more about his homeland to be able to share with others. I can’t wait to come back to Scotland and explore again!

We couldn't have asked for a better tour, or a better tour guide! The sites were beautiful, the drives between sites were never too long, and the guide, Steven B, was knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. He even took the time to give us tips as to the best places to visit in Edinburgh whilst we waited for construction-related traffic to clear on the ride back to the drop-off location. You can tell he genuinely loves his job. Overall, I couldn't imagine a better way to be introduced to the Scottish highlands, and would recommend this tour to everyone.

I wanted to leave a review to thank our wonderful guide Charlie who left a huge impression on us & also the others who attended the tour with us. All the history & stories we learnt along the way were delivered in such an engaging and fun way! You can tell he is so passionate. It was a dream come true to finally see & have a chance to feed the beautiful highland cows! Today honestly was the highlight of our whole 4 day trip and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Scotland for the first time like us. You truly do see so much of this beautiful country in just 11-12 hours, 100% completely worth it! We will be back for sure!

Steven B (the best Steven) was an amazing guide, filled with knowledge and kindness. It was a really lovely experience going to Rosslyn Chapel, Stirling Castle & Dunfermline Abbey. The pacing was easy and leisurely, the tour bus was super comfortable, and we had a few surprise stops and extra sights along the way. It was a 10/10 experience and I would really recommend it to anyone interested in church architecture and the role of religion in Scottish history.

Amazing experience! The 1-day tour is great if you don't have a lot of time but want to see the Highlands. We spent a lot of time on the bus, but the scenery during the ride is incredible and there are several stops throughout the day. Our guide Nestor was very friendly and fun and he really made the experience! He explained the history, shared fun facts and, since we did the tour in November, the ride back was long and there was little light, so he played games with us and shared lots of Scottish music.

Nestor was a terrific guide and made our day trip full of adventure, great stories and insight. He was very helpful with my family, made the tour very comfortable for our three year old. Nestor was a fantastic driver, as we dealt with gale force winds and heavy rain during our tour. He also had a great back up plan in the event that the waters were too rough to boat on Loch Ness. I recommend taking the day trip if you only have a day to visit the Highlands, it certainly made our time in Scotland very fulfilling and memorable.

I’ve never been a big fan of organized tours but this one looked too promising to leave it. I have to say it’s been one of the best trips of my entire life. Our tour guide Steven was the cherry on the cake: a super proud Scotsman and born entertainer who enchanted us with his great personality as well as with tales, songs and history about Scotland throughout the trip. The timing of the different stops was just perfect and there was always enough time to fully enjoy each place. A trip I would definitely recommend to anyone! I’m extremely satisfied.

This was a great two day taste of the highlands. It’s a lot of moving around, but there are lots of little stops to help keep things fun and interesting. Our guide Iain was a fantastic guide, and kept us all safe when there was an unexpected issue with our bus. It was certainly an adventure, but he was able to make the best of the situation. Also met some lovely people on the tour since you’re together for quite some time. Very much enjoyed this tour.
