Fantastic one-day tour of Durrës and Apollonia! I’ve written extensive review on TripAdvisor and Expedia- but briefly, I will be back and this will be the only company I contact. Their focus on local experts, food (and I am sure lodging is the same) is real and priceless.

I took three tours with Good Albania during my weeks stay in Tirana, and all were exemplary. I went to Ohrid with Mimi, Prizren with Soni and Durres with Dio, all the tour guides were excellent drivers and had extensive knowledge of the places they took me. I felt really safe and I felt like I made the most of my time here in Albania with the help of these tours. I would thoroughly recommend Good Albania and will definitely be back soon for more adventures!

We had the opportunity to explore the center of Tirana, including a visit to BunkArt. In the afternoon, we took the cable car up to Mount Dajti. The panoramic view of Tirana from above was breathtaking, and once at the top, we decided to try the adventure park trails. The zip lines were incredibly fun and added an extra touch of excitement to the experience! The Good Albania team was exceptional, always kind and engaging. Their responsiveness over the phone to every last minute request, made everything even more enjoyable.

We went on the Food and Unesco 7 day tour of Albania and it was outstanding. Rando our guide was amazing and found so many points of interest and brilliant local restaurants. Highly recommended!

Rando was a wonderful guide! Prompt, attentive, knowledgeable and dedicated to making sure we had a wonderful tour. We went on two different day trips from Tirana and we learned so much about Albania. He also gave tips for bars/restaurants to enjoy in Tirana! Definitely recommend.

Travelling to Albania by boat/ferry

There are many ferry companies making the jouney to and from Durrës, distancing just 37km from Tirana (a pick up service is often included in the tour price - please check for details).

Travelling to Albania by plane

Nënë Tereza International Airport is 17 km northwest of Tirana and is a modern, well-managed terminal. There are no domestic flights within Albania.

Albania: Climate & Weather

The climate is decidedly Mediterranean throughout the whole of the coastal area with hot summers tending towards heat waves. Winters are rainy but mild in temperature with very agreeable mid-seasons. It tends to be more continental in the mountainous zones: The temperature differences are especially marked from one season to another and the north-east of the country experiences winters with frequent snow.
