At Found Expeditions, we are committed to minimizing our carbon footprint across all our trips. In Madagascar, our trekking routes are designed to rely primarily on foot travel, drastically reducing the need for motorized transportation. We promote small group sizes to limit environmental impact and collaborate with local partners to use low-emission vehicles where possible. We also encourage sustainable practices by reducing waste, eliminating single-use plastics, and promoting reusable items among our travelers.
Moreover, we aim to achieve carbon-neutral operations by 2030, calculating each trip's carbon emissions and partnering with local projects for carbon offsetting. We further reduce food miles and support local communities by choosing eco-conscious accommodations and ensuring that meals are sourced from local, organic farms.
